Ontario Hockey Academy Faculty

The most important reason for choosing the Ontario Hockey Academy is the quality of our teaching. As well as being specialist in their field, our academic staff are here to support our student and families. OHA prides itself on its commitment to meeting the learning needs of students. We take great pleasure in seeing our students thrive during their time at OHA and achieve their university goals and dreams.

Jesse Ferguson, Principal

613-938-5009, ext. 227,   principal@ontariohockeyacademy.com

Jesse Ferguson has been academic principal at OHA for 5 years. He holds a master's degree from the University of Ottawa, and did doctoral studies at the University of New Brunswick, in English Literature. He has taught high school in Ontario, and has lectured at the University of New Brunswick and Cape Breton University, in Canada's East Coast.

In his years as principal at the Ontario Hockey Academy, Principal Ferguson is extremely impressed by the level of administrative commitment, parental support, student involvement and staff dedication to building a successful school. As principal, he visits classrooms, connects with staff, students and parents, to ensure students are being challenged with the tough Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum. The Academy continues to focus on building an ever-stronger educational platform that combines academic and athletic excellence, “whole student” development and a deep sense of school pride.
