Take Charge of Your Life -
An Experience Like No Other
This is the time in your life
when you’ll learn to become independent, be accountable for your actions, get
along with others, make important life decisions, form lifelong relationships,
and develop skills that will help make your transition to college a smooth one.
But you won’t be alone—you'll be surrounded by a community of caring people.
In our comfortable “home-away-from-home” atmosphere
we foster respect, personal responsibility, cooperation, and teamwork.
Full, fun, and meaningful days
are structured so every hour comes packed with activities to help you
grow—intellectually, socially, physically, emotionally, and personally.
Residence life can be summed up in
three words: active, exciting, and life-changing. Rooms come equipped with
furnishings including a bed, curtains, desk, chair, and dresser. You’ll also
have your own Internet port and phone line. In addition, you’ll find a lounge and common area with a 60" plasma TV, DVD player, refrigerator,
microwave, and pop corn machine for student use. You’ll form lasting bonds with your fellow
students, as you live, learn, study, and play together. Through
group meetings, students create and manage their own living environment. On
occasions, members of residence hall gather in their lounge to discuss concerns
and possible solutions, vote on decisions, and share ideas. You’ll learn how to
become a leader of character and integrity, learn to work with others,
effectively run meetings, consider other viewpoints, and communicate with a
diverse range of people.
