In Cornwall, you can have it all and what a city it is! The Academy is located in Cornwall, Ontario, a small town on the USA-Canadian border besides the St. Lawrence River. Cornwall offers a safe, friendly and charming setting for academic, athletic and social pursuits. You’ll find everything you need to enjoy an exceptional quality of life. A full-service city with a small town feel, where everything is just minutes away from your front door. Cornwall presents countless opportunities for recreation all year round — be it an organized sport or a simple walk in the park — and all happening just five minutes from your doorstep. You can skateboard, inline skate, bicycle, jog, or walk and you’ll find restaurants and pizza places, music stores, art galleries and a diverse assortment of shops. And don’t forget the outdoor concerts, festivals, sporting events, street fairs, community celebrations and museums all within a short distance from campus.
The City is sprinkled with over 40 parks totalling 750 acres and recreational facilities include modern gyms, hockey arenas, Curling Centre, and the gem of the St. Lawrence — the Cornwall Civic Complex — which includes an arena with seating for 5000, convention facilities and the brand new Aquatic Centre.
Of course, if you prefer to hit the links, you’ll want to check out our world-class golf courses. These include Summerheights, where you can choose from two beautiful 18-hole courses, and the world class Cornwall Golf and Country Club along the St. Lawrence River. We are an hour’s drive from two of Canada’s top major centers, Ottawathe National Capital and Montreal with its historic center and French culture. Our school is very accessible and strategically placed within a short drive of renowned, state-of-the-art athletic facilities, art exhibits, world best museums and other world-class venues that contribute to our overall program’s distinctive experience.
We have hardly even mentioned the river yet! In recreational terms, the St. Lawrence Rivermeans not only boating, fishing and all kinds of water sports, but also 75 km of waterfront bike trails, ball diamonds, and more.

Food Services
Dining Services
The dining program strives to serve a variety of fresh and, when possible, locally grown food for the Academy. One of our major goals is to provide good quality and healthy food in an attractive setting. Literature throughout the dining room promotes and educates students about the types and quantities of food needed for a healthy lifestyle. You'll always hear an assortment of music. We think it's important that our dining facility is a place to relax, eat good food, and have some fun in an otherwise full and busy day. The dining program is committed to great service and quality food in a relaxing environment. Our staff is committed to providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. It's not uncommon for our staff to know many of our students personally and to ask questions about their day, their families and their sporting events. Overall we nurture, as well as, nourish our students. That's our goal.
The dining service meets the continuously increasing culinary sophistication and wide-ranging tastes of our student body with diverse and ever-changing menus emphasizing wholesome, healthy foods. The dining service offers a box lunch program for traveling athletes and catering services to meet the needs of students, staff, faculty, and visitors. Suggestions from students are always welcome. The dining service's director meets with students on a regular basis. In the dining hall, you’ll see Salad Bars, Deli Bars, Toast and Cereal Tables, Beverages, Fruits, Desserts, and a Snack Table.
Nutritional Services
Have questions? Ask the Nutritionist!
Our dietitian is available as a resource for students, parents, faculty and staff. Students can make nutritional counseling appointments to discuss issues related to food allergies, athletes and nutrition, vegetarian eating, or general eating concerns. Our dietitian will also meet regularly with athletic teams, offering information about eating and hydration for peak performance and is always available to answer questions and provide guidance on a wide range of issues.
The dietitian attempts to meet with each athletic team at the beginning of each sports season to provide verbal and written sports nutrition information to meet the fueling and nutritional needs of active, growing adolescents. Students often make an appointment to meet with the dietitian individually for more specific personalized guidance.
Nutritional services are free of charge and the dietitian will work closely with dining serviceas an adviser. We review Daily Menus to assess nutritional value, balance and healthy preparation of food choices.
