Al Shank
(Head Coach, Junior Prep)
Coach Al
is the Academy's first
true international coach.
He is currently the head coach of the
Australian National Ice Hockey Team. His job at the Academy is simple: recruit,
develop, and place talented student athletes at the next level. With his
experience at the Canadian Midget and Junior A championships, he knows what it
takes. His only question - do you? Coach Al, also serves as the Academy's full
time goalie coach. A first among prep schools.

Al Quenneville
(Head Coach, U18 AAA)
Coach Al
comes to the Academy following a stint as
head coach of the Akwesasne
Jr. B Wolves.
He is old school. He expects the best and
gives his best. Hard work, dedication and respect that's what Al is all about.

Jason
Malone (Head Coach, Major Midget U16 AAA) "We are
very pleased to name Jason our Major Midget U16 AAA. He is well connected." said
Giles Lascelle "Jason has working and coaching experience with PEI's Cornwall
Thunder Midget AAA program, Summerside Junior A team and on the bench at the
Major Junior A level with the Prince Edward Island Rockets of the Quebec Major
Junior Hockey League". Jason has also worked at the famous Allen Andrews Hockey
School which has been attended by many NHL stars like Sydney Crosby. Jason
played at the university level with the
University of Prince Edward Island and was team Captain for the Summerside Western Capitals of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League. During his time with
the
Western Capitals he was first team all star and awarded top defenseman.

Andréanne
Thibault
(Head Coach, Girls' U19 Maroon)
Andréanne
becomes our NEW Maroon team which will help develop players. Ms. Thibault graduated
in 2008 from Minnesota State University Mavericks. She finished the final
season of her strong career as an outstanding Maverick blue-liner, earning many
accolades including WCHA Defensive Player of the Week award, WCHA
Scholar-Athlete award and was named three times to the All-WCHA Academic Team.
During her four-year career, Thibault played in 137 games. That mark is third
all-time at MSU.

Dave
Fontaine
(Head Coach, Minor Midgets) Coach Dave brings a high level of
hockey experience to the Academy. He has been involved with minor hockey for
over twenty years. This commitment and his competitive nature are ingrained into
his players.

Rock
(Assistant Coach) Coach Roch is as good as his
nickname. Solid, dependable, and the un-flinching person you want on the bench.
But don't be fooled, he's not afraid to let a ref know what he thinks.

Joss Harrison (Assistant
Coach) Coach Harrison is our tactician. He knows
the game and teaches it. While he maybe the brains of the staff, he has never
been afraid to drop his gloves.

Bill
Murphy (Head Scout) Bill has been an active
influence in Ontario hockey for over 40 years and most recently was head scout
for the Cornwall Junior A Colts. Murphy will be responsible for the team’s
scouting staff and will oversee team personnel. He will watch midget and junior
games in Canada and the United States while attending several major tournaments
in North America. Murphy is joined with current Ontario Hockey Academy European
Scout Frank Morris and Russian Scout John Charlton.

Gaston
Gingras
Gaston is our special power skating coach.
Using his ten year NHL experience, he teaches you how the pros do it. Throughout
the year, Gaston visits Cornwall and give our students a workout they will
remember. His technical skills (and not to mention his shot) are among the best.
Marco
Marciano
Marco is OHA's goalie consultant. Marco comes to Cornwall once a month to evaluate our goaltenders
and give his feedback to the players. He has an extensive resume including stints with
Team Canada and Team Quebec (not to mention his personal trainees include
Marc-André Fleury (Pittsburgh Penguins) and Martin Houle (Philadelphia Flyers).
